Justa cha,cha,cha, changing!

Cindy's family reunion is coming up on July the 4th weekend. Here is a picture of a lot of the relatives that will be there 100_0401

God willing of course. In this picture ages from early 20's to early 70's are

represented. There will probably upwards of 40 people total there.

Cindy has a big close knit family and it is always fun to get

together with them. This will be the first year we won't be on the grounds

of the campsite. We will be going back to our own cabin 8 miles to the

north every night. The more things stay the same others change constant-

ly. That seems to be the story of our live's right now. C-h-a-n-g-e. I'm going

to be changing from not working for 15 months to working part time 5 days

a week.Cindy is changing her job at work from team leader into manage-

ment. We are going to moving 12 miles north of where we live know. The weather is changing from chilly to warm. So

here we go changing, changing, changing, I never have embraced change in the past. But right now it just seems so

natural. Hang on the way things change around here. If you miss even one day you've missed a lot. If you feel so

inclined Justa leave a comment below. Thanks again for stopping by.

Justa moving on up!

100_0986

Ok here is the scoop.

We are going to be able to go through with buying the house. We have to cough up another $3677.00 for an additional down payment. This will bring our total down payment to about $10,000 This will bring the numbers in line for the appraisal for the bank. The total cost of the package with the home on land will be $110,000 Cindy is taking a loan out on her 401k at work for the additional money needed. We have 5 years to pay it back at about $70.00 a month. We were tempted to just say the heck with it and just sell our trailer we live in now and move into an apartment or townhouse.

When we did a list of pro and cons, the Pros won.

So here we go. Back in the saddle for our move. Our holding pattern will be over. Full steam ahead. After this weekend we will be back to full steam packing again. It really is the best thing over all. We will be in a brand new home on 1 acre of land for about the same thing it is costing us here at the park.

Speaking of the park.100_0909

We just got some paperwork from the park with all the new rules and regulations. In them they want us to sign a lease. If you don't sign a lease you can go month to month but it will cost you an extra $45.00 per month. They want to charge $10.00 per month extra per pet. That would  be another $20.00 as we have Indy and Imus. These are just a few of the things that would bug me. Lot rent is only $300.00 per month so you know they are going to be raising that soon. It's just so time to get out of the park. That is one of the variables for us deciding to get the new home.

On the job for me front.

I have an interview tomorrow night at 7:00pm wish me luck. I feel pretty good about it. It will be nice to get back to work and get out of the house every day, even though it is only for four hours. It's a start anyway. She has some full time runs maybe I can transition into one of them some day. Maybe I'll find that four hrs a day is enough with everything else going on in my life.

The Bipolar seems to be most of the way at bay right now.

Taking 1/2 dose of the Abilify every 3rd day seems to keep me at a level I can manage most days. I took half of a dose last night so today ought to be a groggy day for me. I may have to take an extra nap. My knee is a little better but will never be all the way ok. I'm still 8 degrees from my leg going straight so this will be a permanent disability. At least I can still walk even though I'll have a pretty good limp now. I can get around Wally world if I hang on to the cart when I'm walking. I feel it if I walk to much though.

Justa lazy day today!

100_0620You know how they say "If you ain't got nothin good to say your better off not saying nothin" well that's what I'm going to be doing today. This is just a short post to say good morning. I could go off on a rant on politics but I don't think that's what any of us need right now. We can get that 24/7 on cable T.V. There just isn't a lot going on for us right now. We are in a holding pattern waiting for the bank and G&I homes to negotiate to see if the deal is going to go through for the house.

I don't really want to fill up this post with a bunch of gibberish about that. I'll wait for the dust to settle then tell the story. Here is a quick hit on how we stand though:

  • We could go through and buy the new home as planned . This depends on other people.
  • We could work with Earl. Move the home we live in now onto the land Earl owns and go from there.
  • We could just sell our house to Earl. This would leave us no place to live. This may be an option though. We are wondering if just getting out and renting an apt or townhouse wouldn't be the way to go.
  • Or we could just end up staying here. This isn't so terrible we have lived here 17 years. Although the park is in disrepair,we take care of our place. We would just have to block out what we see when we drive out the back.

So there it is short and sweet. Maybe I'll have more to bring to the table tomorrow.

Not justa nother basket!

Not just another basket

No this is not just any basket. This is the "man basket" it has replaced the small overstuffed100_1320 glass bowl. See what you have started Amanda. This is going to become a world wide phenomena. Women every where are going to be coming up missing their bread baskets. Fox news will be breaking in with "breaking news" Where in the world are the bread baskets disappearing to? Hell I bet even Greata Van Sustren will have a weeks worth of coverage on it. Amanda my daughter in law started this by taking a picture of my "Man bowl" on Sunday. I blogged about it and it took on a life of its own even my blogging buddy Presiousrock on her blog One Bipolar Life got in on the act. She posted a whole blog on using baskets instead of glass bowls.Check out my comment to her in her comment section. She even set one up for her son. (Look what you have started Amanda) I must admit. My "man basket" is much neater and presents itself better in a picture than the "man bowl" did. Thanks Amanda and Presiousrock.Wife's of the world. Sorry about that.

Speaking of baskets

Mr. Obama just about has the nomination in his shopping basket doesn't he? The old wicked witch of the east just will not die gracefully. Soon she will have to admit defeat and go away quietly into the sunset. Her and Bill riding off into the sunset on a jackass. Hopefully never to be heard from again. But I know that's a pipe dream. A reasonable person can hope can't they. Speaking of stinking up the joint... My beloved Yankees are playing like a bunch of losers. Heck I even tried wearing the same Yankee sweatshirt for two days in a row. Nothing seems to be working. We want Joe, We want Joe, We want Joe.

On my job front.

Things are looking up with that. My lawyer says it would be ok for me to take the part time job I'm looking into. It would qualify me for reduced earnings from Workman's Compensation until we went to a hearing to determine the out come of my case I would make a little more money than I have been I'll keep you informed of that.

I missed my Chiropractor appointment on Monday.

It was supposed to be Monday morning at 10:30, so around 3:30 in the afternoon I get a call from my Chiropractor informing me I had missed the appointment.(Can you say embarrassed?)I had forgotten to put it on my calendar of appointments. We rescheduled for today I should go down there and sleep in the car tonight just to be there on time. I hate when that happens. I'm probably the only one that has ever done this. None of you has ever missed a Dr's appt have you?

Justa in a holding pattern!

Money Fun Fact

It is three times more likely for a person driving 10 miles to purchase a Lotto ticket to be killed in a car accident than to win the jackpot.Source: motherjones.com

Save Money at SavingAdvice.com, now this makes you think doesn't it? The moral to this story is let someone else drive you to the store to buy your ticket. See there is a way around every problem.

I have this scam that I am running that is working pretty good. I just got back from stopping in and talking to Jeff. We were sharing our wit and wisdom so you know it couldn't have been a very long conversation from my perspective anyway. That being said. Before I could escape out the door, Jeff forcibly made me eat a Sausage Patty on the grille. That is three days in a row that I have eaten a meal at Jeff & Amanda's. If I can keep this up for 30 days just think how low I could get our grocery bill down to.:) I told Jeff that for sure

Mike my employment councilor from the workmen's comp carrier sent me over a possible job lead. It was enticing. But I'm already following up this lead on the van driving job. I don't want to get too many coals in the fire. It's hard enough to remember what I had for breakfast let alone what I told this or that person I could or couldn't do. One at a time is how I'm going to approach it. I really like the sounds of this driving job. So I will keep you posted on those developments.

In another minor development the deal on the house we were trying to buy may fall through once again. It is too fresh and still a little uncertain yet to talk about. It has to do with appraisals of like property in the area and us maybe needing to come up with some more money. I'll post on this a little more in the next day or so. So hang on. This is justa nother day in the life of the Justakrusen's. Never a dull moment,

I'm Justa bowled over!

Ok Amanda here is your post on "man bowls" This is my little slice of the counter at home. This bowl is for my wallet, keys, cell phone100_1318, a couple of pens and whatever else I can jam in there.

I've been over to Jeff's and Amanda's house and Jeff has had various bowls of size and color. I'm a rookie in bowl using. Jeff is the expert. I'm holding out for a bigger bowl when we move. Maybe I can even have one with a top on it. Maybe I can even get one for a house warming gift. Hint! Hint!

If you'll humor me I have another picture of Jeff and Justin that Cindy and I were able to capture at Home Depot on Sunday. I think you'll be able to tell which one is Jeff. Notice the cup of coffee. I think maybe it's time to cut back on the100_1310 coffee Officer Slater. The heart burn will burn a hole

in your stomach. This is a picture of the boys with their supplies for yet another project. I think this is for Jeff to finish his decking project. Speaking of Home depot. I have a couple of buddies that are working there in the wood section. We went in there to pick on them. I was going to tell Norm that I wanted him to price me out a 40ft by 40ft deck and hand pick all the pieces. What do you think my chances were of that happening? We were also checking out the John Deere riding mowers as we are going to have a touch over an acre to mow. We are going to wait till the last week or so before we move in to get it.

Momma did an awesome post on our Landscaping adventures. If you have time you gotta check it out. It's one of her better post again. Maybe I ought to just quit blogging and let Momma take over both of the blogs. Hmmmm. Check out her blog post Here.

We're Justa so proud of the Boy!

100_1247 Cindy already posted on our day yesterday. Just reading about it made me tired again. I'm going to use a couple of pictures of the Graduation but I wanted to start out with this one. We are so proud of Jeff for his accomplishing his goal. The hard way that Jeff took to his dual major. He worked his butt off to work full time at Save A lot and go to school full time. He got his one major of Police Science then decided to pursue another major of Business. He again did this while working full time as an "officer of the law" on the night shift, running a demanding mowing business on the side, while at the same time remodeling the house that him and Amanda live in. There are other things he tossed in there too. Like breakfast with me from time to time, breakfast with other friends time with Justin his best friend and Mowing partner. But always there by his side is Amanda. It's because of and for Amanda that Jeff even went to Graduation. He wanted to just have the school mail him his diploma. Amanda insisted and Jeff agreed to attend. He admitted afterwards that he is glad he did it. Just like I have a Yang in Cindy at home. Jeff has Amanda. But remember guys just like Cindy and I, You guys are now decreed the title of Ying Yang. That's right your just a couple of YingYangs. Congratulation Jeff and Amanda on "Getting it done".

This picture is just before going in to the complex. He doesn't look like he has been tortured to bad. I think Jeff is reflecting on all the hard work he did to get here and he deserved the recognition of his accomplishments. At this point it looks like to me any way that Jeff is already thanking Amanda if not out loud yet, but with this look as if to say(to me anyway) Yeah I'm glad I'm here.100_1245This one I'm using just to have some fun with Jeff. Notice the cup of coffee in his hand. Does this just show that he is a cop or what. We had to stop at Dunkin Donuts on the way to the ceremony to get coffee. But you have to know we didn't get donuts we all had a bagel or a muffin. 100_1290

This last picture and the one I'm going to use to close this post with is one of the ones Cindy was able to get with him leaving. Notice the look. I think he, like those around him,is proud of his accomplishment as he well should be. I'm going to cut the post here as its 2:00 on a Sunday. I get to go back in and cuddle with Momma and get some more sleep. You can get all the info from our day from Momma's site over at her blog at Mrs Justakrusen check it out.

Jeff's Graduation from college, grocery shopping,Jeff's graduation party and then what ever crops up.I'll put some pictures up later today with a little bit more of a post. Momma said she would do a fresh post later also. Enjoy your Saturday we'll catch you later.

Justa hoping for some good Karma!

image

Hope springs eternal. I never thought I'd be typing these words again. But here goes. Drum roll please. Thanks to my buddy Norm I have a possibility of a job. That's right me, the down but not out kid has a possibility of a J-O-B. I don't know all the details yet. But it sounds pretty good to me. Anything that gets me out of the house for a few hours and I can actually start earning some money. I have to fill out my application and talk to the lady that owns the business yet. From what I understand so far it would be driving developmentally disabled people to their appointments. Hey Stan. Maybe I can take you to your appts. LOL. She was talking about 7:00 am to 9:00am taking the van home then coming back in from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This would be a great way for me to get back into the workforce and check out my real capacity on my leg. Wish me luck.

Hope springs eternal courtesy of Google images

Things continue to change on the house front.

It appears we have to now hook to the city water. We can't use the well that is already on the property. Oh well! Earl, the gentlemen we are buying the land from is going to do the work so in the long run it will save us some money. Plus it really is better being on City water. If the power goes off we at least still have water. As W. Clement Stone said way back when. "With every adversity there is a seed of equal or greater benefit". We shall see what it is in this experience. Do you have any saying that motivate you? Any dittys that someone told you, that you would like to share?

Here is an interesting twist to the story.

last night Earl (yes, that Earl) came by to look at our trailer. He is looking for a used double wide to buy for his daughter who is now living in a single wide. He looked it over real good and expressed to us an interest to buy it. I told him that he would have to get in touch with our salesman Dan and gave him the number to the dealership. Guess what lot Earl is talking about putting the house on? image That's right, the one right across the street from us!! How weird would that be? looking out our front window or walking out our front door and seeing the place we lived in for 17 years staring us in the face. Is life interesting or what? It may not happen but Earl seemed very interested so I will keep you up to snuff with this latest development. I think that's a good place to end it today. Thanks for stopping by again. Check back tomorrow you never know what is going to happen here. I'm Justa Saying!

I justa lost a post somewhere

I had a new post all done for today. I don't know what happened to it. The computers were acting up last night I pressed save and poof gone. It had a picture of me of the way things were going. Yesterday was one of those days that I was just as soon forget. So that's what I'm going to do. JUST FORGET IT. I  can reproduce the picture easy enough but I'm just going to link to it. When you see it you'll understand what kind of day it was. Today is a new day.

Cindy is taking this morning off to help me attend to some of the things we have to do.

  1. Go to Oswego college book store to get Jeff's tassle for his graduation this coming Saturday. (See I never mentioned that did I?)
  2. Go to Town of Granby to talk to Girl about our Building permit. Also need to talk to Water Clerk about hooking to the City water. (This was in my other post)
  3. Need to Call Bob (The person doing our site prep) about changes in the water hook up. Instead of the well we have to hook to the city water.
  4. Sometime in the next few days I need to get up to Fulton to sign up for the new job I have. (Looking for a job)  Somewhere in all this mess of trying to move and dealing with my bipolar I need to start my job search. They've determined that I can do light duty type of work 8 hrs a day. If any body has any leads or ideas let me know. I'm thinking of working with the disabled maybe driving a van or in a residential setting. This is an Idea I have to be working on in the coming weeks. I have some accountability to Mike from the Insurance company on this.

So I'm pressed for time this morining now and i'm going to keep this short. Here is the link to the picture that shows how I feel right now. Check this out I hope your having a great day. Thanks for stopping buy. Feel free to leave a comment if your so inclined. I'm justa saying!

Justa looking forward!

 100_0911

Can you believe all the natural disasters that are hitting. Does it seem like more than usual or am I just watching to much news. What with the Typhoon, and Earthquakes hitting overseas and the Tornado's and flooding here in the states. It makes our little 4 foot snow falls feel like nothing doesn't it? We can at least dig out of our messes. What do you do when your house comes down around you or is flooded?  Cindy and I are worried about moving 12 miles North of where we live now. We might be up in the 4 foot of snow overnight world. Guess what. Cuddle Time!!! Crawl under the covers after making the "Ain't coming in" call to work and sleep till you can't sleep no more. Or... Hmmmph. as I was saying. We can catch up on the unpacking that won't be done from our move. Right Sandy?

100_0975Cindy talked to the financial guy today. He said everything is a go ,we should be able to close on the land within 2 weeks. Another 3 weeks after that we could be moved in.Just wanted to share a couple of the pictures of the new house. I promise only two pictures today. I like that kitchen. Look how much room there is. Also notice the dining area. There is a sliding door to the right where we can add a deck on later.

100_0986This is a picture of our new house as it sits on the lot at G&I homes. it's a 28 by 60 which is 8 feet longer than what we live in now. I can't wait until we move in. This packing stuff if getting old. We still have a long way to go,but we are actually making a dent in it.

I'm kind of nervous I have a meeting with the job counselor representing the insurance company today. He told me to remember to bring my list of medications that I am taking. It will be interesting to see his reaction when he sees the Abilify on the list. It ought to make for an interesting discussion. I can't imagine having a full time job right now while I'm trying to get the meds for my Bipolar situation worked out. Can you say fun? Not only that. I can't stand for more than 15 min without my left leg bothering me. Plus when I sit for more that 1/2 hour it takes me a while to get moving. This afternoon will be very interesting. He told me that he was going to ask me 500 questions. I just told him I'd have 500 different answers. I'll let you know tomorrow how it went. Wish me luck.

In closing Garry Conn from Garry Conn.com

and John Cow from John Cow.com are having a contest. I am supporting Garry Conn so will be providing a link to his site here. It is a neat contest and will be kind of interesting to follow. Garry is a well respected successful blogger in the Make Money Online niche. While right now I am not trying to make money with my blog beyond having the Google adsense ads on my site. (Of which I have made a whopping $0.03 cents since starting this blog) I still follow Garry, as his integrity is refreshing in this dog eat dog niche and Internet marketing in General. Not only that, Garry took the time to read my blog and sent me a personal email one morning. Check out Garry's blog at Garry Conn.com.

Justa enjoying the ride

We were at our "OLD" neighbors house on Sunday after church. They haven't changed a bit. (That's to bad). Actually Norm and Sandy, We had an awesome time. As we always do when ever we get together. The kids are growing up in spite of their parenting. LOL. You guys have done a great job. Sandy the Helicopter got called away on an Emergency call. It appears that your situation isn't as dire as it first seemed. It was nice to see your mother again Sandy. She loves you guys to bits. I can see the feeling is mutual. Cindy and I couldn't be with our moms on mothers day, thanks for sharing yours with us. Norm watch out. If you do start a blog it's addicting. It's hard to stay away for more than a day or so. If you get the bug, your hooked.

100_1178

Cindy and I were like the stealth photographers on Sunday. We forgot the camera when we went to Norm and Sandy's or else their pictures would be on here. After we went back home we got Indy (who loves to ride in the car) and hit the road again.

Our first stop was Jeff & Amanda's to take a couple of pictures of the deck that him and his buddy Justine just finished. Are they good or what?

These are just a few of the ones we got as they were building it. Great job guys. Pencil us in for a couple of years from now at our new place. We'd be glad to have you guys build us a deck any day.

100_1179These just show what a talented guy our son Jeff is. He definitely has a talent for building things. He sure didn't get it from me. I've yet to find my area of expertise I'm still analyzing that as we speak.

100_1211 100_1212

From here we went over to Tom & Sherri's and took some of the landscaping pictures. We showed you some on Monday here are some of the other ones we got.

100_1220 100_1223

Ok the one isn't  a landscaping  picture but I couldn't resist guys. Great photo huh? These two are a couple of the most insane people I know living out side of a mental hospital. A lot of pictures today I know but we just wanted to share some more of the things we did Sunday. It was one heck of a day off and we had such a great time that we wanted to share it with all of you. I'm still skipping around with content aren't I? I just can't help mentioning my friends and family. They are so awesome that I thought you might enjoy sharing them with me.

I haven't mentioned it in a while so here goes. If you like following along with the Justakrusen's on our journey through life you can subscribe to the automatic email updates on the top right of this blog. That way when ever I update a post it would automatically show up in your email. What could be better than that. That email subscription is the best thing since slice bread in my book. That's how I keep up with about 10 or 15 of my favorite blogs. Go out today and as Robin Williams said in the movie. "Seize the day" I'm justa saying. P.S. If you stand on a chair be careful.

Justa returning from our day of Rest

 100_1210

Mothers day has come and gone.

I hope yours was as great as mine. Jeff and Amanda took us out to breakfast at Larkins yesterday morning. They got Cindy an awesome gift. A lighthouse that is powered by the sun during the day and lights up at night. We already had a couple of light houses that we had bought that light up the entrance to our walkway. But this one has far more personality. It even blinks like a real light house. We got a chance to call and wish my mother a happy mothers day. I think she is having a great mothers day. I called, My Sister Donna stopped into see her and I'm sure that was gift enough for my mother and finally for the day. Mom went to My brother Mikes for dinners. I know you'll never read this mom. But, "Happy Mothers day".

We went to Cindy's brother Tom's house.100_1224

Talk about living large we sat on the back deck where Sherri brought roasted Almonds and Nacho chips out to snack on. It doesn't get any better than this. A Barley pop and snacks and relatives you actually enjoy. Don't anybody tell them I said that. 100_1238 If Tom thought I enjoyed coming to his house he might not ever let me come back. Gretchen and Collin came by. They are two of Tom's three kids. Man are they growing. Poor Collin, he is so easy to pick on. And of course you know I'm going to take every advantage of that that I can. Here's a picture of some of the landscaping Tom & Sherri have done. And another of Tom and I sitting on the front patio.

The Mayor and his wife took us out to breakfast on Saturday.

Shawn broke our rule of going Dutch and picked up the tab. He blamed it on a house warming gift. He did that so I wouldn't expect him to buy us a riding lawn mower for a gift. LOL. We were at his mercy for he was driving and we were firmly  locked in the back seat. After breakfast we showed him where the property we are in the process of buying was. Darnit, now he'll know where we live. If you ever need your dog walked just ask my buddy Shawn. (To long a story to tell here) As I'm finishing up this post on Sunday night to post on Monday morning we just got back from Shawn and Pats. Momma made a loaf of home made Cinnamon Raisin bread for Shawn, and she just had to drop it off tonight. Presious Rock won't like this but we just spent $59.20 to fill up our Nissan Altima Hybrid. That's on a car that gets about 38 miles per gal average. OUCH! What's the most some of you have had to pay to fill up your vehicle? Let us know in the comments.

One more thing before I go.

One of my favorite bloggers  Ian Parks, has two blogs that are in my blogroll. The first one that I came across was The Random Forest this is a fun blog that when you start reading him you are begging for more. Ian sense of humor is refreshing and captivating. If you can get away from his site without commenting it would be amazing. Often times you'll find me chiming in with my two cents. Check out this site. Believe me you won't regret it.

His second site that he just started and perhaps one of my favorite "about pets" site in blogger land, is Blog about animals  I can't give away this particular post. For some reason this link is one of my favorite links to this particular blog. (I can't be sure but maybe it's because he has done an article on our 3 pets) Before you sign off you have to go over to this blog and see our 3 babies. Thanks for stopping by  once again.

justa Wishen all the Mom's out there a happy mothers day!

Wendi Kelly on her blog Life's Little Inspirat

ions had a link to this video. I love the way Martina Mcbride sings. Momma does a lot of her music and it always sends goose bumps down my spine when she does her music. I'm always telling Cindy that Martina would have to sit down and listen to her sing some of the songs that she does. For those of you that have heard Cindy sing I'm sure you would agree with me. This video is awesome and is my present to all of you moms out there. Hey even you future mom's might enjoy it.

As I write this on Friday night for Saturday mornings post. I'm thinking of some of the things Momma and I have coming up tomorrow. The Mayor and his wife are going to be picking us up for breakfast at 08:00 am at Mimi's in Fulton, Ny. If your in the area a great place to eat and its reasonably priced. From there Shawn wanted to see the land. It's almost ours and we will feel better about being there. It's funny the neighbors across the street keep looking over at us like we are Hela monsters or something. I feel like acting crazy and running around the yard bare naked. That would be a warm welcome to the community wouldn't it?

PreciousRock one of my blogging buddies picked on me for doing a post on gas prices. So I better stay away from them for a while. She is missing her buddy Stan the man. If you've been following along with some of the comments you notice Stan has some really long ones sometimes. He's also Bipolar and it shows in his writing. Some of the most caring people I have come across on line are the links to the mental health blogs on my sidebar. They are real, genuine, and honestly care about other people. I guess it takes being down in the dumps to understand and relate to others going through the same things. I value the fast friendships I've developed. Garry Conn isn't a friend but he has reached out to me on a few occasions and I really appreciate him taking the time to do that.  Ian from Forest parks fame and I have connected on a certain level also.

We have about 4 to 6 weeks before we will be able to move into the new house. Momma and I thanks to Len & his wife Cynthia are going to start packing this weekend. I'm going to reach a point where I'm going to have to go dark myself here. I don't know how long it will take me to get back up and running in the other house. We will wait until the last possible moment to disconnect. Hopefully won't be as long as Stan the Man. If your checking in from time to time don't be afraid to check out some of the blogroll sites on the right side bar. There are some kick ass bloggers on that list. Happy Mothers day moms.

Justa inspiration!

Justa random thinking, again,and again!

image

I justa had an idea today. While I was pressing my stumble button on the Internet today, I came across and interesting web site. I've decided that I'm going to start doing this for a while. Every time I find an interesting site that I just come across on the web I'll share it with you here. I'm not going to do it at any special time and I'll try not to do it too much. Here's is my stumble for today. Fourteen habits that make you fat I hate to admit it but I can see myself in almost every one of them. How bout you guys. You skinny people, well you'll just have to wait for an article about you.(laughs)

Ok I lied,I found another link that you should check out gas tax holiday don't fall for it . It's an article at Wise Bread that tells us not to be sucked in my the fuzzy math of the Gas tax holiday that Billary and John McCain are supporting. Check it out, it is a real good read and informative.

Indy and I went for a ride today. we Drove over to G&I homes in North Cicero to pick up some stuff we are going to need for the permit. Dan had it ready to go in an envelope at the front desk. No muss no fuss. On the way there we stopped at Bj's in Clay on Rte 31 and filled up the gas tank in my car. $3.66.9 per gal times the 14+ gals $54.00 dollars please. That sure would have bought a lot of groceries. We have to go shopping tonight and because we don't need much it will be well short of $54.00. But still... By the way the gas over in Cicero was $3.64.9 per gal. It's getting where the prices at Bj's are just about as bad as the ones at all the stations around them. The days of them charging $0.12 less per gallon seem to be gone.

Justa putting one foot in front of the other right now!

I continue to feel somewhat down.

I don't want to belabor the point but my Abilify experiment is not working. My taking it every other day at a half dose is still grogging me out during the day. My moods are swinging back and forth on a daily basis and the "Foggy" feeling is around all the time now. I don't feel like I'm having any times of clarity. I understand from my wife that a name of a Psychiatrist has been submitted to the insurance company for me to go see in Oswego Ny. I'll let you know how that goes when and if I start seeing him. I feel like I'm going to need to switch medicines. For those of you doing the medicine game how many different ones have you taken over time to get to where you are now?

The Lime Green Drama Queen is over for the night

We were so busy last night that she and I didn't even have the time or the inclination to do a post together like we have in the past. After picking her up from her house yesterday at 3:00 pm. We came back to our house and did her homework. By time we warmed up some Goulash for dinner and tossed together a salad it was time to take off for her Concert at 7:30. She plays the Clarinet in her school's band. She, to say the least is less than excited to be playing the instrument. She says she wants to quit playing but her dad won't let her yet. We'll see where that goes. The band sounded good from where I was sitting. As you can tell from this picture Courtney's a looker. Watch out Dad there are going to be a line of guys beating down your door for a date with your daughter when she gets older. Court Court as she likes to call her self is a little down right now. Maybe it is something in the air. A lot of people seem to be down right now.

Speaking of being down

Billary must be feeling a little down right now after her whoopin in North Carolina. She won by a slim margin in Indiana and vows to continue on. Rush Limbaugh will be happy. The Chaos that is the Dumocratic primaries rolls on. This battle for the parties nomination is helping deflect the scrutiny that would be dumped on McCain right now. I don't really care which one of the two of them win. Barrack or Billary. They are pretty much non choices for me. I would have to choose none of the above if they were my only choice in the election. That's just me. Others of you may have your opinions. If you feel like sharing them feel free to comment below.

I'm going to keep it short this morning.

Those of you following along with the blog. Thank you. It helps me keep posting knowing some one is reading any way. The daily hit count on the Bravenet stat counter on the bottom right tells me that I'm getting an average of 7 new hits a day with an average of 4 returning visitors.3407 people have hit on the site since I set this blog to type. Thanks again for checking in. If you feel so inclined to comment.  Feel free to do so.

Justa really big project I've signed us up for here.

With the upcoming move. I'm starting to feel overwhelmed a little bit. There is an awful lot of stuff that has to be done. We've done a lot already. I'll list below what we have accomplished so far. I won't even attempt to put them in order.

  1. Checked out the land 3 or 4 times to make sure it's what we want. After all we have to live there for 30 years.
  2. We put a deposit of $500.00 on the new Double wide that is sitting at the dealers now. Gave them $125.00 more for the DMV registration. (Isn't that crazy we have to register it with DMV, can you say revenue enhancement)Cha Ching.
  3. Went to the Post office to pick up change of address cards. We have to remember to turn our keys in for the PO box we have been using for the last few years.
  4. Went to Wally world looking for a mail box. They are all kinds of cheap(must be the Chinese's don't get rural mail delivery). We decided to go to Home Depot to see what they have.Jeff said they have a pretty good choice there.Cha Ching
  5. Went to Town of Granby town offices to get a permit for the house. That has to be gotten before they can move the house onto the land. The cost of this is going to be a couple of hundred  dollars. Cha Ching
  6. Called Sue from the Realty Company to set up an appointment for Thursday to sign the paperwork on the land purchase offer. I'm sure that will cost us some up front money.Cha Ching
  7. Started telling friends and relatives of impending move. This one seems more like it will happen than the last one we were planning. Much better situation all the way around for us.
  8. Talked to a guy about moving our shed. It's a 12ft by 16 ft 81/2 ft high beast. So it will cost us $300.00 to move it 12 miles. Cha Ching.
  9. Still have to figure out how to move our 1500 lbs of front steps. Anybody have any ideas. Cha Ching

I've probably left some things out the above is enough for a 3 or 4 day period any way.

Went to the Chiropractor today. It always feels better after I've seen him. But the adjustment doesn't last because of my convoluted gait when I walk. He gave me some exercises he wanted me to do on the machine at the gym. I will try to motivate myself to go this morning. I'm trying to do 20 minutes of cardio every time I go. The problem is I haven't gone in over a week again because of the pain in my leg and hip. It seems like a big circle I'm riding around with on this leg. If I don't work  it, it will hurt. If it hurts, I can't work it. Oh well. I'm home every night with Momma. That is the important thing.

Your not going to believe it. We drove up to the land again today to see what it looked like in the dark. We're crazy. When ever Cindy and I do anything that has a potential to be labeled crazy we call it "Mark & Cindy's excellent adventure" Guess what the land looked like in the dark. D-A-R-K is what it looked like. We will need to get some outside lights to see anything out there.

Justa driving around the town!

Man were we busy Saturday100_1152

We did every thing we said we were going to do and then some. Cindy took pictures of her friends baby. We visited with them a while in the late morning at Crouse Hospital where she took the pictures. We went off and did the rest of the days activities and returned back up to the hospital for Cindy to run upstairs and drop the pictures off. Her friend was quite pleased with the photo's. We would show them here but don't have permission to so you'll have to take my word for it that there are some neat pictures of the new family. She is definitely going to be a "Daddy's Girl" (laughs). And there ain't nothin wrong with that is there?

100_1190

Jeff & Amanda have their new baby's room 99% done.

It is done in a baby snoopy theme. The colors of everything in the room match very well. Even the blanket that Grandma Cindy made match perfectly. How neat is that. Momma got some good pictures of the room. Jeff & Amanda feel much better getting that room done. If I was a baby boy I know I would like it. They seem to be down to 3 names for the baby. When we know what the name is we will let you know. Jeff and his buddy Justin are also just putting the finishing touches on the deck that they have been putting in. Can you tell Jeff is a "projects" kind of guy. He got that from his dad, not me. I'm a more "get out of projects kind of guy" if you know what I mean? Don't take me wrong. I'm not lazy. I just believe in spreading the wealth more. Jeff likes to do it himself.(which if I could do what he can do, I would too)Myself I will hire it done if I can afford it. If not then it ain't time to do it. Does that make sense?

We went out to the dealer in the morning to talk to Dan 100_0978

and let him know about us wanting the one on their lot from before instead of a new ordered one. We really like the model is has a lot of things we really like. April one of  the managers of the G&I dealership in Cicero took us back through the model so we could do a "how would our stuff look in here" inspection of it because Dan was busy with another customer. It was funny, Dan was bringing another customer to show the house while we were sitting in there talking to April. He was kind of surprised to see us. To make a long story short he was going to make two sales that day. Ours without even trying that day(All though he has worked his but off up till now) and the girl he was showing homes to. If you are in the market to buy a modular or even a mobile home the salesman to see there is Dan Mayock. Tell him that Mark & Cindy sent you.

After seeing the baby up at the Hospital we came home

so I could take my hour or so nap that I need every afternoon and to pick up Indy the wonder dog. Than off to drive up to the lot we are buying and visualizing the home on it. We decided that it is indeed the lot we want. Sometime next week we will put in an official offer on the land and get this project kick started. Within a month or so we should be moved into our new home. Man do we have a lot of work to do to get ready.

Sunday turned out to be truly a day of rest.100_1200

Momma and I stayed home from church and we both took our respective me times during the day. I got my Sunday nap in after helping with some of the cleaning.(ok all I did was sweep the kitchen floor) it felt like work to me. As I'm finishing typing this post, it's Sunday at 1:45 pm. Momma is just finishing up lunch and we are getting ready to take Jeff & Amanda up to see the land we are buying. We will definitely know the way it will be about my 5th trip in the last week up there. We'll we went up to see the land, went to Wally world and then over to Jeff and Amanda's for dinner. Taco soup made by Amanda and a Taco salad made by momma.  Can you say delicious. Good time was had by all. Day of rest over. See ya

Not justa nother boring Saturday!

image

This is day one of the new experiment in taking my Abilify 1/2 dose every other day. I am typing this at 3:30 am on Saturday morning. This is a slight improvement on my sleep pattern from a few days ago. I went to sleep last night at about 11:30 and woke up at 3:30 am. That's four hours in a row. Not bad for me. I'm going to type and publish this post and climb back into bed. Hopefully sleeping until at least 7:00am.

Today is going to be a busy day in JustaKrusenville. We have to go grocery shopping. That's right Save A Lot here we come. We might have to toss in a Wally world or P&C into the trip because of the things we can't get at Save A Lot.We are going to run back up to where the lots are and make sure of the one we want. Sue from the Realty company said there are a total of 8 lots available ranging in price from $20,000 for a small one at the front of the complex to $30,000 for some larger wooded ones down the road farther. One good thing is that the road is a dead end. So no thru traffic will be coming by at all hours of the day and night. The one we are seriously considering is about 1 acre costing $23,900. We are pretty excited about the possibilities and are justa trying to cross our T and dot the I's.

We also are going to go up to Crouse Hospital and visit a coworker of Cindy's. She just had a C-Section and wants Cindy to come up and take a few pictures of the baby. (See,Momma does a little bit of everything) Some time today speaking of babies, we are going over to Jeff & Amanda's and see the baby's new room that Jeff & Amanda have remodeled. Somewhere in here the next few days we have to start packing seriously as we may be moving within 30 days and if thats the case we have 17 years worth of  stuff to pack to move to the new house. Just the thought of that is a little over whelming. Good thing Momma is so organized and through when working on something. Those of you that work with her will know that from seeing her at work.

We finally sat down together last night and watched a movie. Of course Cindy was sewing something while watching the movie. As sit turns out I wish I was sewing instead of watching the movie.(And I don't even sew) We I hate to admit it watched the movie "Babel". It had Brad Pitt in it. To say the least the movie was under whelming. Not only did you have to listen to the foreign language which  I didn't speak, you had to read along with Mitch on the bottom of the screen. If I wanted to read a book I'd read a book. The Story line was pretty bazaar also. It made sense at the end because it all tied in, but I thought a couple of the stories were tossed in to the movie just for fill. I'm not a movie critic but I have to give this movie a "Don't bother" on the should I watch this movie scale. Justa my opinion.

Tomorrow is Sunday and I'm taking the day of from blogging again. I hope you had a great day on Saturday and a restful Sunday. We'll catch you back here on Monday bright and early. Don't forget to sign up for the email subscription to get each and every update mailed right into your inbox so you don't miss even one day of life with the Krusen's . Thanks for stopping by.
