I justa can't stay away!

100_0999 Momma at the computer. Notice that Yankee hat hanging on the bulletin board!

I was going to take a whole day off I really was.

Just a couple a quick words than it is off the to the gym with Cindy. This morning Cindy and I went to Denny's over off of 7th North street. You can create your own Grand slam breakfast for $5.99. So Momma and I both got that. The bill came to $16.00 something. They get you on the coffee. It was $1.55 each then you toss in the tip and it $20.00 for breakfast. The waitress was very good and well worth the tip. If you've been following along on the blog that is just under half of our weekly groceries. We might have to rethink our every Saturday breakfast out policy. Maybe we ought to go every other week. We shall see.

I've checked some emails today my blogging buddy Tom Stine

is at it again. Check out his post HERE. His "11 things things I've learned about Spirituality" is one of his best post in my opinion. He is getting quite a bit of commenter's on his blog lately. Deservedly so I might add.

Another favorite blog of mine is Amy Lillard's blog "Quiet Rebel Writer" she is  a Rebel, Quiet she is not. I've recently subscribed to her blog and enjoy her take on many things. Some Not so much!

Another must read for me is Daily blog tips the people running this blog have their stuff together. If you are even thinking about blogging than this is a great reference point.

Speaking of great reference  points

I'm on my way two get 2 books from Barnes & Noble The first one is WordPress for Dummies. Rather self explanatory isn't it? The 2nd one is about  Google Adsense and how to use that. I figure if I'm going to be blogging I might as well do it right.

Justa having a day together!

It is Saturday a nice day. Momma or I aren't posting today. Now would be a good time to check  deeper into the site to catch up on some post you might have missed. Justa check on the sidebar. Also good time to sign up for email updates directly into your inbox. Top right of this web page. Thanks again for stopping by and reading. It is very gratifying knowing people are reading my words. It is kind of humbling too. Makes me feel responsible for providing good content. I should be back later. Either today Sat or Sunday sometime.

Justa studying up on my Bi-Polar disorder.

image I happened upon a web site on Bi-polar disorder the other day.

I'll link to it down below a little farther. One thing I wanted to bring forward today was that if you have this disorder you are not alone. You are not a freak of nature. Many of us have the disorder. It is estimated that 1 in 70 people have the disorder. I came across This list of celebrities with Bi-Polar disorder. Take the time to go down the list. As I went down the list I was struck with the thought "oh that explains that behavior" were you? People on the list include, Robin Williams,Richard Dreyfuss,Robert Downey, Jr all of them actors. They're people from all walks of life, men and women, boys and girls. imageSinead O'conner the picture on the right, is a singer that had just revealed she was Bi-Polar when this picture was taken.

It is becoming more and more prevalent

as we become more and more aware of disorders it has become quite apparent that many many families around the country are effected by some kind of mental disorder. What's going on? Have they always been around?,did we just not  know what to call it? Our capacity to handle the growing number of Mental disorders is fast becoming evident. What do we do as a country? What is the answer? Do we need to spend more Government monies? Can the private sector get involved? These are all questions we have to find the answers to in the coming years. It's not going to fix itself. Very few things do fix them selves. The human body has the capacity to fix some things. Such as blood clots to heal a wound. The human body is pretty resilient. But as it relates to Bi-Polar disorder it needs help. The outside stimuli of the modern world is just to much to handle.

I look back now over the last 15 or 20 years and question a lot of decisions I made. A lot of the things I said. Were they because of this chemical imbalance in my body? Maybe. Would I have said and done things the same had I known what I was going throught chemically in my body? Who knows. But the future is now. I can change the future me by taking my medicines, working with my Doctors, and Social Workers, friends and most of all my Wife. She is my Yang after all. :) I'm justa saying! Oh I did it again. I was going to link to an awesome web site on the disorder if your interested in further reading you can link to that HERE.

I'm justa thinking today!

Marks dad My dad. RIP

I don't know where to start today

My mind is so full of thoughts and Ideas this morning. Do I tell you about momma and my discussion about the lady in the picture that my wife used on her post over on her Mrs Justakrusen post well, I guess I have now haven't I. Cindy was wondering what they carry in those pots on their heads. She is wondering this as we lay down to go to sleep. This is well after the "I love you see you in the mornings". This is right when we were ready to dose off. She says "I wonder what they have in those bowls?" I don't have  the time to research that now. Does any one out there happen to know what is in the bowls. Could you let us know by way of comment.I'd really like to get an answer to Momma's question.

Another thing I was thinking about this morning was

Something Tom Stine brought to my attention by way of his email subscription. His last post HERE. I'm going to seem like a Tom Stine Hack. I guess I am sort of. His latest post just got me to thinking. I left a comment on his post too. Scroll on down his article to the comments and check it out. He is well on his way to being an authority on his subject matter. I don't miss a post when he updates.

Something else I'm thinking about

Is my New York Yankees. They have struggled out of the gate. They had to win the other night to avoid falling into last place in the division. For those of you who care, and you should you know. Their record as of this post is. 9wins 7 losses. Tied with Boston for first. What a difference a couple of games can make this early in the season. What a way to start out the Boston series also.

Like I said in the beginning of this post my mind

is really wandering. Rather than blather on now about nothing I'm going to take a few minutes and just quite my mind, settle down, finish waking up, I'm a night person so I'm getting some of my email updates read and some other business done that I can. I'm going to crawl back into bed in an hour or so. Momma will never even know I was gone. She's probably in there right now dreaming about Brad Pitt or some other such really ugly guy. I'll cuddle back up with her and get warm. When she mutterers to me. "Welcome back Brad" i'll just smile and drift back off to sleep until 5:15 am wake up time. I'm justa saying!

Justa follow your heart

image Photo courtsey of lifeoptimizer

I don't know that I carry my heart in my hand.

But I have been know to wear it on my sleeve. There are sometimes that I'm my own worst enemy. By that I mean. Rather than be quite when I see something I don't agree with, I usually speak up. I don't follow the "Let go and Let God" train of thought when I should. There have been some times in my life where I should have listened to the words from the song when "You say it best you say nothing at all" if you know what I mean? That being said I am working on it. I find that I learn much faster when I listen more. After all God gave us one mouth and two ears for a reason, don't cha  know! :)

I don't know why but I'm in a hearty kind of mood today.

The weather is going to be awesome by this afternoon. I may just take little ole me down to Onondaga Park with a cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee and sit on a park bench an contemplate my Navel. Ok, I'll leave my Navel alone. But it is time for me to justa sit and take in what beauty there is around me. If I'm real lucky I will see something like thisimage. Just look at the sunshine off the water. Look at the rippling waves. Oh yeah there is that Island again. Hey I remember this picture . This is the same picture that got me a week on the couch last time I used it.Can anyone out there tell me why my wife would be mad at me for enjoying a beautiful sunset, or the ripple of a wave onto the beach. Look at that, you can almost see the texture of the sand. It's amazing. Gods handiwork truly is amazing. Is it any wonder he had to rest on the 7th day.

Another heart event for me today is a heart

wrenching story that developed overnight in the town of Dewitt. Last night I stopped over to see our son Jeff as he worked the Over night shift as an "Officer of the Law". His assignment was to block the west bound lane of Rte 92 coming out of Manlius. He had to do this because there was a fatal accident where the Dewitt police had to work the scene for 6 hours to investigate. There was a fatal accident. Those of you local to the Syracuse, Ny area may have heard about it. Apparently some one fell a sleep and drifted into the on coming lane of traffic killing a man that was just minding his own business on his way to who knows where. In the back seat of his car were 3 baby car seats. All empty, thank God,but none the less. That's 3 kids that won't have him around any more. There are more details to come out of course. But just that one fact of how the 3 kids will be affected now. It wrenches the heart doesn't it? Have you told your Significant other, your mother, your father, your son, your daughter that you loved them today? I'm justa asking?

Justa looking for a Niche?

100_1016

Good Question!

joke from my friends at Arcamax. Picture by Cindy. Man can she run fast!

Bob couldn't believe it -- he'd made it to the last round of his favorite game show. "Congratulations, Bob," said the emcee. "Answer correctly and you go home with five million dollars!

"This is a two-part question on American history," he continued. "The second half of the question is always easier. Which part would you like first?"

Bob figured he'd play it safe. "I think I'll try the second part of the question first."

The emcee nodded approvingly, while the audience was silent with anticipation.

"Okay, Bob, here is your question: And in what year did it happen?"

And you thought you were having a tough day!

I go to a lot of different blogs every day

Some of them I go on because I'm subscribed to the email feed and it just reminds me to check in with their updated post. I'm constantly amazed at the talent of people to express themselves and to assimilate the information that helps us all on a daily basis. I thought I'd do a who's who of Blogs that I check in with from time to time. In no particular order is:

  • Tom Stine.com Tom has become a fast friend on the Internet. I look forward to his updates and often engage in quite interesting discussions with Tom and his growing list of commenter's. If you want to check out Spirituality ,Awakening and Personal Growth, check out his site.
  • The Simple Dollar Financial talk for the rest of us. Check out Trent's  Rss Feedburner numbers on the upper right of his blog. That's not why I read his blog. Every day Trent has useful, thought provoking ,and in my opinion valuable information that will save us money. I'm also subscribed to his email updates. (Are you seeing a trend here?)
  • The Growing Life Alternative Productivity, Anti-Hacks for living. Clay is a wise beyond his years guy that is going to show us how to hack in to life on a daily basis. I'm subscribed into his email feed and wouldn't want to miss a day of his take on life.
  • Mrs. Micah Mrs.Micah is another one that I don't miss. I read her post everyday. She's a very good writer and entertaining and informative. A real fun read.
  • Garry Conn If you want to learn how to start and run an Internet business, this is a have to subscribe to site.Garry is the first of the "A" list bloggers that personally reached out to me with an email in answer to an email that I sent to him. Garry never has forgotten where he came from. I am grateful for the personal touch. Garry if you read this. I saved and framed your email to me. It sits in my office right now. Thanks again.

These are just a sampling of the sites that I visit on a daily basis. I've left off a lot of my favorites. Not because I didn't want to put them in,just for a lack of room. The Personal growth that I have experienced because of blogging these past few months is something I wouldn't trade for the world. I don't have a "Niche" I wander all over the place with content. I don't know what I'm going to post on in any given day. I guess that what makes me "JustaKrusen". So with your permission,or without it too I guess.:) I'm going to continue to ramble on. Speaking my mind. I'll try not to make any body too mad. But If I do make ya mad, don't stay mad, get even. Let me know why you don't agree. And if by some slim chance ya agree with me. We'll ya better not let me know. It will only encourage me to do it more. And we can't have that, now can we? I'm justa saying!

Not Justa nother road trip

100_1014

Cindy and I jumped in the car Sunday morning

about 08:30 and headed south. We went to Elmira, Ny to see my mother Pat Krusen. This was the birthplace of Justakrusen. If you need to blame someone for unleashing me unto an unsuspecting world you can blame my Mommy(she hates when I call her that)She won't ever find out because she wouldn't know how to sign on to a computer if her life depended on it. She is 73years young and still working 3 days a week.Donna,(My favorite sister)have you ever seen mom smile? I think this is the closest she has come in a lot of years.

Speaking of of favorite sisters

Cindy got a picture of Donna & her husband Steve. Now if they're ever was a man that deserved a medal for valor in the face of extreme abuse, it would have to go to Steve.(Doesn't he just look like he is under duress?)100_1023 Hey guys this is an awesome picture of you two. We are going to be sending a couple of the pictures that we took of you guys.Like I told you. Just think some one from across the pond could see your guys picture and be inspired by your guys 36 years of marriage. Steve. We now have proof on film of the abuse.:) Donna. You and Steve have a very comfortable, inviting and homey feeling little slice of Heaven there.

Thanks, for putting up with the abuse of a big brother all these years. (If I'm picking on you, I'm leaving some one else alone)We also got a picture of Stephanie(One of Steve and Donna's daughters) and her two boys Jake on the left and Kyle on the right.100_1024 We had a really great visit. Donna was rationing the soda to me. I was going to drink every soda in the place out of spite. It's bad enough the two glasses I had meant an extra bathroom break.

Family is very important.Steve and Donna and their immediate family are a tight family unit. They do family like family is supposed to be done. The head honcho is Donna.Steve is the strong supporting role and everyone else falls into place. Steve and Donna you're an inspiration to me. If I ever grow up I hope to be just like you. Donna,You know that our side of the family isn't the Ozzie and Harriet version of life.(You know they say you can't pick your relatives) But if I had to pick a little sister. She would be just like you. Love Mark. I'm Justa saying!
