NO COFFEE

image A couple of more images that the fine folks at Google we're nice enough to let me borrow.

I decided to change my header on this blog. It seems the CIA is following Stan everywhere he goes now. So because of him I must be on the list of people to harass. Everyday now for the last couple of weeks my phone has been ringing once or twice when I pick it up no one is there. So I've decided to throw them off track. Maybe they would think this is a legitimate blog if I had the truck staring them in the face.

The American Farmer and Business Owner

A man owned a small farm in Alabama. The Alabama Wage and Hour Dept. claimed he was not paying proper wages to his help and sent an agent out to interview him.

“I need a list of your employees and how much you pay them,” demanded the agent.

“Well,” replied the rancher, “There’s my ranch hand who’s been with me for 3 years. I pay him $600 a week plus free room and board.

The cook has been here for 18 months, and I pay her $500 per week plus free room and board. Then there’s the half-wit who works about 18 hours every day and does about 90% of all the work around here. He makes about $10 per week, pays his own room and board and I buy him a bottle of bourbon every Saturday night.”

“That’s the guy I want to talk to, the half-wit,” says the agent.

“That would be me,” replied the farmer.

The joke is courtesy of The backwoods home.com it's an interesting site about saving money, living off the land and stuff like that. Heck the way we're going we are going to all have to go back to the days of living off the land and hunting for our food. Do you hear that Stan. No more Sunday dinners at Nancy Pelosi's house.

There's a push on for Truck driving schools to fill up their remaining training spots. There is a local tv station's article that I responded to. You can see it here read it then go to the comments. You'll see where yours truly jumped in with his big mouth. I justa can't help myself sometimes. There are a couple of other places across the country doing the same story must be an overriding theme. It seems to me that the article's should be researched more and the truth about what it's really like for the over the road driver. In this kind of economy people are willing to take just about any kind of job that they can get. But if you have a family and you think that jumping in a truck is going to be the end all,you got another think coming. To make any money at all,$35,000 to $40,000 your going to have to stay out for 2 weeks at a time or more. You see just how big this country is real quick. You don't just come zipping home from Texas if you live in Syracuse If your single and want to travel, I say go for it. It can be an adventure of sorts. (If you count grumpy receivers and dirty bathrooms) an adventure. I hope I'm not sounding to negative here. I really did enjoy the freedom of the open road, the no boss looking right over your shoulder, the stopping when I wanted to stop as long as I was on time with my load, some of the beautiful views you get from that left seat. I just wanted to put a real spin albeit a little negative one without going into to long of a diatribe.

Sorry I wandered away from usual babbling on about nothing  I'll probably be back to that on my next post.

Mark,
Who gave you my photo? No, nothing against you. But I've already said "No photo before coffee!"
These people are evil.
How much did they charge you?
I'm really angry! My fans... dear Lord!

Yes I did indeed buy it from one of your fans. He said something about he took the picture when he was doing some work around your house recently... I paid him $100.00 bucks for it. So I'm not taking it down. Sorry.

No Coffee? A sin. I have a Starbucks latte I'd be willing to share, that is if you don't think Interpol has attached a listening device to the underlid. Major Pharmas have come out with astounding new paranoid disorder drugs. I'm just sayin'~Mary

I'd love to see the country and make a good living at it but I'm on disability now. Before I got sick I tried to get my hubby to sign up for driving school along with me and we'd do it as a team but he didn't want to be away from home that much.

I have a question though. How come gas has come down but the price of food has not? Everyone was saying it was because of the freight costs but that has gone down so shouldn't what their charging us. Oh we definitely will have another garden this year. No if's an's or but's about that.

Belinda,

Trucking as a couple would be much better than going solo. It takes two to tango though. My wife had a lot going on here, family and career it just didn't make sense for her to drop everything and come out and play on the road with me.

As to your question of prices coming down. It always takes longer for prices to come down then to go up.Someone is taking advantage of the situation. From what I've heard fuel surcharges are coming down so where is the money going?

Oh hell, it's probably Precious rock dialing and hanging up, she's stalking you for chocolate!

Dear Mark:

As usual you have kept with your theme and said absolutely nothing of importance {Laughing}. I happen to hate traffic, so a truck driving life was never in the cards for me.

I am sorry and disappointed to report that asteroid was just a near miss; or we all could be sucking up some serious dust and radiation right now. I guess that would make everyone a dumocrat and glow in the dark around the fall out zone {Smirk}.

It has been reported through sources in the CIA; that Nancy Pepsi-Lib has decided to stop tapping your phone the moment you apply for your communist membership and send her a copy of your sequin blue man purse. She was going to also ask for a copy of your man bra; but she could not fill out something of those gargantuan proportions even with all her hot air.

Now that coffee IV cartoon was the first rational piece you have posted here since you turned 45, around 1912 when then still banged two rocks together for internet service ( Thank Goodness your hug buddy and squeeze Pal Al Gore invented a better internet for us all to use!}.That picture has some relationship to my morning activities with the best of all medicines ever invented! That's Right! Good old COFFEE! JAVA JOE! The Black Cider of sweet smelling roasted beans.

You know that guy from Starbucks that invented their new instant coffee being released today! He invented it 20 years ago, and he also invented the Frappacino. He's dead now, but his invention lived on past his time.

Just think Mark? This should give you hope and great inspiration! Some day people may look back and say that Mr. U.G.L.Y. Krusen was the no good liberal ass SOB that invented the man basket. {Laughing} You could even be stained book mark in the historical anal of notorious infamy. {Snicker}

Now on to your next post that says little, rants endlessly, and means nothing!

Stephany,

I think your right.I'm going to have to see if I can have my connections in Arizona tap her phone. She has gone off the deep end coloring her hair and wearing her tye dye tee shirts again.

Stan,

The fact that you don't like traffic is a good thing. I could just imagine you driving down the highway in your 1962 Volkswagen bus with the windows rolled up and the smoke from your Harry Reid rolled cannabis just rolling out of the holes in the floor.{chuckling profusely}

I thought it was quite revealing on someone else's blog where you admitted to being the Master of bation.

Your waiting for my next post which you say will say little, rant endlessly, and means nothing!
Hell,I'm becoming more like you every day.

Stephany,

I must admit that it is me dialing and hanging up. Not only that, but I have been peering through his windows. I thought I should let you know that he is out of chocolate but has plenty of coffee that he won't share with me.
And here I thought he was my friend. :-(

Mark,

I didn't know you had a man bra or rather a manziere. Don't worry! Your secret is safe with me as long as you share that coffee IV. And, brrrrrrrrr it is really cold out here. Invite me in and pour me a giant cup of joe.

Mark Krusen said...

Precious,

Very funny. A manziere. Between you and Stanlinzki I'm going to have to spend twice the amount of time in counseling this week.

Your always picking on my Grammer. What did she ever do to you?

I know you couldn't have been peeking in my window tonight. Tonight was sit around the house butt nekked night in Fulton. Damn, what a visual. Orca the killer whale sitting around nekked.

Hi Mark,

Worked for the gas board years ago as a meter reader as my route was out of town I had a gas board van.

Brilliant job no one watching me, driving through beautiful countryside and meeting nice people.

Best job.

Love,
Herrad

PS Any coffee going?

Mark Krusen said...

Herrad,

That would be a perfect job. Home every night. No one looking over your shoulder.

An old trucker told me he got his wife to stand with the kids by the road so they could wave to him- otherwise they would have forgotten they had a dad.
In Europe you spend half your life nose to tail and you have cctv on most roads and a tachograph in the cab. Most big bosses fit satellite tracking as well. Trucking being mobile has meant that firms have relocated their base to Eastern Europe where wages are much lower so the wages in the industry here have also dropped.
Margins getting squeezed every where- work harder for less!

Mark Krusen said...

Richie,
Yeah things aren't good. And It's going to get worse before it gets better.

Pyrs said...

Ok, so I'm last in line today. But I wanted to say hi again. The funny thing is I was going to ask you about trucking as a second career. I need to do something at some point. I've learned how to live on very little. I could probably just get rid of my house and sleep in my car when I had a break in the schedule. I don't have anything funny to say at all. Reading Stan's comment completely exhausted me and I have nothing left to give.

BTW - Has you cat done its chores today?

Mark Krusen said...

Pete,
Trucking would in my opinion be a great career choice for you. You could bring your cat with you if you went with the right company. Right now the economy is down so you wouldn't make a whole lot of money. But when I got off the road I was driving for Swift and I was grossing about $1,000 per week most weeks. It's all what you make of it. Email me if you'd like to seriously talk about it. I'd be glad to talki to you about it.

Even Stan gets exhausted from his own comments. That's why he disappears for days on end. He needs to rest up from himself.{laughing}

Stephany said...

Yeah! Stan needs a rest from all that talking to himself eh Pete?, I mean how many hours does it take us all to decipher that penguinite language?!

LOL ha ha
